About our Speaker
Lynne is a long time Journal-listed practitioner. Her public practice was interrupted for eight years when she served as Dean of Girls at The Principia Upper School in Saint Louis, Missouri. She returned to the public practice in 1998.
She found Christian Science as a young adult while reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. A friend, who knew she was searching for a new beginning, gave her the book when she was working as a cancer research technician at a medical school teaching hospital.
She has twice served at The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts: as a senior writer in the Practitioner's Services Department and as a senior writer and project manager for the Manager’s Office of the Committee on Publication.
Lynne has contributed articles and testimonies published in the Christian Science periodicals and The Christian Science Monitor, and has participated in JSH-Online podcasts, Daily Lifts and the Christian Science Sentinel Radio programs.
As a member of several branch churches she has served in several capacities including both Reader positions, Board member, Sunday School teacher, Assistant Committee on Publication.
She and her husband, Tom Quirk, live in St. Louis and enjoy traveling, which includes frequent visits to their three children and their families in Boston, Denver and the San Francisco Bay Area.
