Marilyn worked for over 25 years for Colin A. Houston & Associates, Inc., a market consulting company renowned for its expertise in surface active agents and related chemicals. Marilyn served as project leader for acquisition and market studies, and provided proprietary consulting to major international chemical companies. As vice president, Marilyn participated in company-wide project planning and personnel decisions. Marilyn served for several years on the Board of the Chemical Marketing Research Association, and helped negotiate its merger with the Commercial Development Association. In 2004, Marilyn began a gradual transition, completed in 2012, from consulting to the practice of Christian Science healing. She is a lifelong Christian Scientist and a member of the church in Mamaroneck, NY, currently serving as First Reader and metaphysical committee chairman. Other positions she’s held include Second Reader, Board chairman, Treasurer, finance committee chairman, Interfaith representative, lecture chairman and music committee chairman.
For most of her business career, Fran worked for Fortune Magazine at Time Warner where she headed up the special sections department, a department that contributed millions of dollars in advertising sales to Fortune’s profits. After leaving Time Warner, she was a partner in a small company that sold advertising primarily for Fortune and BusinessWeek. Fran is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Montclair, New Jersey and has served as Board President, First and Second Reader, Lecture Chairman, and Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. Currently, she is President of Board of Trustees of her branch church and treasurer of the Visiting Christian Science Nursing Service of New Jersey.
Charlie is a lifelong class-taught Christian Scientist. He has been a member of New York area churches for over 25 years serving as First and Second Reader, Trustee, Treasurer and Sunday School teacher as well as participating on many committees. Professionally, he has worked in finance for various institutional investment managers for 30 years and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. For over a decade, he and his wife have been proud supporters of High Ridge House.
Barbara is a lifelong Christian Scientist and has served as Second Reader, Board member and Chairman of the Board, Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, Treasurer, Reading Room Librarian, and in other duties at branch churches in MA, NY, and other locations. Currently, she is a member of Eighth Church in Manhattan and is Head Librarian of the Tri-State Christian Science Reading Room in downtown Manhattan. Barbara has spent most of her business career working for The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston MA. She served as Assistant Treasurer and Senior Manager, caring for the Church’s real estate holdings; overseeing financial donations to support the worldwide activities of the Church and The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity; managing charitable trusts established with the Christian Science Trustees for Gifts and Endowments; and investing the funds for the Church and its related activities. She has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an Economics degree from Middlebury College and has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.
Sandy is a lifelong Christian Scientist and was introduced to Christian Science nursing at High Ridge House (HRH) while still in college. From there, she received further Christian Science nurse training at the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association. After graduating she practiced her Christian Science nursing in England and Switzerland before returning to the U.S. to continue her practice in a number of other States. She then returned to HRH, taught several beginning Christian Science nursing classes and ultimately served as the Director of Christian Science Nursing. She is now retired, though as busy as she was before retirement, and a member of the Christian Science Society in New Port Richey, Florida where she serves in numerous positions including sharing the Reader position of reading on Sundays and Wednesdays.
