At the NYC line, the Saw Mill Parkway becomes the Henry Hudson Pkwy. Take Henry Hudson Pkwy south to Exit 22, "254th St/Riverdale Ave." Turn left immediately at playground and continue one block to Riverdale Ave. Turn right onto Riverdale Ave. and continue one block to 256th St. Turn left onto 256th St. Proceed uphill 2 blocks and turn right onto Arlington Ave. Follow Arlington Ave. past the Skyview apartments through one stop sign and down to the end at a second stop sign. Turn right onto one block of Independence Ave. High Ridge House is on the left. Our circular driveway will bring you to our front door.

Merritt Parkway (Rte 15) south. This becomes the Hutchinson River Pkwy at the NY line. Bear left at Exit 15 onto Cross County Pkwy. Follow signs to George Washington Bridge. Take I-95 south. Just after the NY state line take Exit 21 onto I-287 west. Follow 287 to Exit 9N-S and follow signs onto the Hutchinson Pkwy South. Bear left at Exit 15 off the Hutchinson Pkwy onto the Cross County Pkwy. Follow signs to George Washington Bridge. On Cross County follow signs to Saw Mill River Pkwy and NY City. Via I-84 or Rtes. 55/22 to I-684 at Brewster. Follow 684 south to entrance to Saw Mill River Pkwy at Katonah. Follow Saw Mill River Pkwy south. Northern State/Grand Central Pkwy. to Triborough Bridge. Stay left and follow Deegan Expressway (I-87) north to exit for Henry Hudson Pkwy. You will be exiting onto Mosholu Pkwy. Follow Mosholu west to Henry Hudson Pkwy. Then south on the Henry Hudson Pkwy to Exit 22. Exit sharp right at exit 22, "254th/Riverdale Ave." Turn left immediately at playground and continue one block to Riverdale Ave. Turn right onto Riverdale Ave. and continue one block to 256th St. Turn left onto 256th St. Proceed uphill 2 blocks and turn right onto Arlington Ave. Follow Arlington Ave. past the Skyview apartments through one stop sign and down to the end at a second stop sign. Leaving TURNPIKE TOLL Bear right for "GEO. WASH. BRIDGE — NEW ENGLAND". Bear left for "EXPRESS BRIDGE ONLY". Approaching GWB toll, work your way to the right. Once through the toll, get next to the right rail — take exit ramp on right for "HENRY HUDSON PARKWAY". Stay right for exit ramp for "HH PKWY — NORTH". Coming around curve, stay left for "HH PKWY — UPSTATE". After passing the Toll Booth and Kappock St., get in right lane and stay there for RIVERDALE Exit 22. Exit sharp right at exit 22, "253th/Riverdale Ave." Keep right, upgrade, for one block. Bear right onto Riverdale Ave., and continue to second traffic light at 256th St. Turn left onto 256th St uphill 2 blocks. Turn right onto Arlington Ave. Follow Arlington Ave past the Skyview apartments through one stop sign and down to the end at a second stop sign. Leaving TRNPK TOLL bear right for "GEO. WASH. BR — NEW ENGLAND". Stay right for "G. W. BR. — LAST EXIT IN NJ". Approaching bridge there is a division — bear right for "BRIDGE LOWER LEVEL". Once past the division, bear left. Through TOLL get in extreme left lane to cross bridge. This lane circles right at end of bridge. Move immediately into right lane for "RTE 9A SOUTHBOUND. At end of concrete for 9A PARKWAY NORTHBOUND". Exit right for "HH PKWY NORTH". Coming around the curve, stay left for "HH PKWY — UPSTATE". Once past the Toll Booth and Kappock St., get in right lane for RIVERDALE Exit 22. Exit sharp right at exit 22, "253th/Riverdale Ave." Keep right, upgrade, for one block. Bear right onto Riverdale Ave., and continue to second traffic light at 256th St. Turn left onto 256th St uphill 2 blocks. Turn right onto Arlington Ave. Follow Arlington Ave past the Skyview apartments through one stop sign and down to the end at a second stop sign. To High Ridge House by truck

Trucks are NOT ALLOWED on any Parkway in New York or Connecticut, but ARE allowed on Interstates.

Leave interstate at Tuckahoe Road, west. This will bear left onto Saw Mill River Road just after passing under the Saw Mill River Parkway overpass. At light for Ashburton, (cemetery on left), turn right; then left at next intersection onto Nepperhan. Follow this wide street all the way to Riverdale Avenue. Turn left, follow down to 256 Street in the Bronx. Turn right, and proceed uphill 2 blocks. Turn right onto Arlington Avenue. Follow all the way to end, past Skyview apartments on right, down to second stop sign. Turn right on the one block of Independence Avenue. HRH is on the left. A circular driveway will take you to our front door.

Cross George Washington Bridge. Turn left on Broadway (RT 9). Follow all the way up and across the Broadway Bridge into the Bronx, a total of about 5 miles along Broadway. Turn left at 261 St. Go to Riverdale Avenue. Turn left. Follow down to 256 Street. Turn right, and proceed uphill 2 blocks. Turn right onto Arlington Avenue. Follow all the way to end, past Skyview apartments on right, down to second stop sign. Turn right on the one block of Independence Avenue. HRH is on the left. A circular driveway will take you to our front door.

To High Ridge House by public transit

The BxM2 travels up the west side and the BxM1 up the east side of Manhattan on a regular schedule every day. For information call the MTA — 718-330-1234 or go to www.mta.info. Get off at West 259th Street. Cross Riverdale Avenue and walk up 259th Street toward 3 huge apartment houses. Turn right on Arlington Ave and go past these apartment houses — "Skyview" — and follow Arlington to the end — down the hill. Turn right on one block of Independence Avenue. HRH is on left. Our circular driveway will bring you to our front door.

Note: It's about a half-mile walk from 259th Street.

Take IRT 7th Avenue Line to 231 Street and Broadway, or the IND "A" train 8th Avenue to 207 Street and Broadway. Transfer from either subway or bus to the #10 or #7 Bronx bus and get off at 259th Street. Follow directions given above for those traveling on an express bus. For more info, check www.mta.info. There are free maps available at most subway stations. Metrocards for multiple trips are available for $10, $15, or $30 and can be used on buses.

Note: It's about a half-mile walk from 259th Street.
