“…ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (I John 1:3)
Just what is the High Ridge House Day Guest Program?
Angel thoughts were the impetus for High Ridge House’s Day Guest Program. We experienced a growing awareness of a need in our Christian Science community to reach out and offer fellowship and love to those who live in our area. We wanted to be of greater service to our field and to foster a broader sense of family. And so the idea of a special Day Guest Program was cherished and it now occurs every Wednesday at High Ridge House.
What to expect when you attend: Guests, patients, volunteers and staff gather for inspiration, fellowship and love. A complimentary lunch is served at 12:30pm. Lunch is followed by a guided metaphysical discussion of a selected topic and we engage in a lively exploration. Guests are invited to study on their own, if they prefer. All are welcome to walk our lovely grounds for quiet meditation. We have a fully appointed study room complete with books and digital resources. At 3:00pm, everyone joins together at our Testimony Meeting. After an afternoon of spiritual insights and companionship, we all feel uplifted. Guests leave High Ridge House at 4:30pm with a bagged supper of soup and a sandwich. This has been a much appreciated treat.
An extension of the Day Guest Program includes special events such as our recent gathering to join the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church via livestream. We all gathered around our large screen TV to participate remotely in this important event. The meeting was preceded by a light lunch in the company of fellow church members.
