Kate Dearborn, CS, has been a member of Christian Science churches, societies, and informal groups, and has served as Reading Room librarian, Sunday School teacher, Reader, and Board member. She's currently First Reader at the Christian Science Society in Saugatuck, Michigan, and serves on the board of Noontide, the Visiting Christian Science Nurse Service of Michigan.

She worked in Circulation, Marketing, and Radio at the Christian Science Publishing Society. Her last job at The Mother Church was as Director of Radio, including the news programs — "Monitor Radio" and "The World Service of The Christian Science Monitor." Kate also served as Executive Director of Latino USA, a public radio program distributed by NPR.

Kate home-schooled her daughter from elementary school through high school while living in Texas, Michigan, and Taiwan. Once her daughter graduated, Kate became listed in The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science Practitioner.
